Damansara Utama Lutheran Church



Early History





Early home church activities began in 1976 with the set up of Sunday School for children, youth activities and visitations around the area. Church works expanded in 1977 with the purchase of a corner unit bungalow which became its permanent address.


As the Church grew in stature, it also planted three churches - in Rawang, Chempaka and Puchong.

OUR BELIEFS





We believe and confess the following: ‘We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He arose again and ascended to heaven. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.


We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.’

OUR MISSION



To be a Dynamic, Life-Changing, Christ-Centered church



The Church actively participates in mission to the local Orang Asli and overseas Christian organisations as well. As a strong supporter of the Lutheran Church in Malaysia (LCM), DULC is also involved in various exchange events and charities - old folks and children’s homes locally - set up by the former. We also organise a kids’ programme every Saturday afternoon which caters to the needs of children between 5 and 12. The children are exposed to character and skills building activities such as drama, story hour, fun games, sign language, singing, and much more.
